LABORATORIES
The department of Computer Science and Engineering has 8 computer labs, 220 latest Intel core i3/i5 computers running Linux/Windows Operating Systems and a server room. The department is providing sufficient computing facility for the students offering excellent training in computer programming. All these computing resources are inter-connected with high speed intranet having 100 Mbps Internet connectivity to the outside world. The lab is adequately supported by peripherals like Printers, Scanners and more.
Detail of various laboratories and their facilities are as follow:
- DATA STRUCTURES LAB
- JAVA PROGRAMMING LAB
- DBMS LAB
- WEB TECHNOLOGIES LAB
- PROJECT LAB
- PYTHON LAB
- IT WORKSHOP
- RESEARCH LAB
Data Structures Laboratory
The main purpose is to study fundamental data structures, their design, implementation, efficiency and understand how the choice of data structures can lead to efficient implementations of algorithms in solving problems.
Java Programming Laboratory
This lab reinforces understanding of basic object oriented programming concepts (objects, classes and subclasses, methods) and their expression in Java. Students are able to analyze and design a computer program to solve real world problems based on object-oriented principles and able to write simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) interfaces for a computer program to interact with users, and to understand the event-based GUI handling principles
Database Management Systems Laboratory
The requirement of modern days is to have an automated system that manages, modifies and updates data accurately. This is achieved by a Database Management System (DBMS) in robust, correct and non redundant way. Through DBMS laboratory, students will get knowledge about the database environment and a way to manage data. Students are made familiar with Oracle Software. Students will also be trained to do certifications in Oracle and .Net Technologies.
Web Technologies Lab
The purpose of this lab is to develop the web applications through MVC architecture. The objective of the web technologies lab is to design web pages, client validations, server side scripting, data base connectivity. Through this lab the students can achieve an ability to design, implement and deploy static and dynamic web applications.
Testing/Project Laboratory
A project laboratory, also known as a project-based learning environment or project lab, is a space dedicated to collaborative and hands-on projects within a specific field of study or industry. In the context of computer science, software development, and related disciplines, a project laboratory allows participants to work on real-world projects, applying theoretical knowledge to practical problems.
Python Laboratory
A Python laboratory is a controlled environment designed for experimenting, learning, and conducting practical exercises related to the Python programming language. These labs are typically set up in educational institutions, training centers, or corporate settings to facilitate hands-on experience with Python programming concepts, syntax, and libraries.
IT Workshop Laboratory
Workshop laboratory, commonly known as an IT workshop or computer workshop, is a dedicated space designed for hands-on learning, training, and practical exercises in the field of Information Technology (IT). These workshops provide participants with opportunities to gain practical experience, enhance their technical skills, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Research Laboratory
Research laboratory is a specialized facility equipped with the necessary infrastructure, tools, and resources to conduct scientific research. These labs are found in various fields, including physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, computer science, and many others. The primary purpose of a research laboratory is to facilitate the investigation, experimentation, and analysis required for advancing knowledge in a particular field.
