About the Department

The Department of Science & Humanities plays a vital role in shaping students' foundational knowledge in both science and language. Since its establishment in 2008, the department has grown from a team of 18 skilled faculty members to a dynamic group of 21 educators, each bringing diverse expertise and strong professional qualifications.

Offering a wide range of courses—including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English—the department covers essential subjects like Engineering Mathematics, Probability & Statistics, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and key communication skills such as Business Communication and Soft Skills. To ensure a well-rounded learning experience, first and third-year students benefit from language labs, where they enhance their Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW) abilities. These labs also provide hands-on training in resume writing, group discussions, presentations, and interview techniques.

For Second and Third-year B.Tech students, the department continues to strengthen their foundation with advanced Mathematics and English courses. Meanwhile, first-year (I B.Tech) students build their academic base through core subjects like Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry. Since a significant part of the first-year curriculum falls under the Science & Humanities department, it takes on the responsibility of nurturing these students academically. For second and third-year students, the department focuses on guiding them through specialized subjects, ensuring they develop both technical and communication skills essential for their future careers.

This blend of rigorous academics and practical learning helps students grow into well-rounded professionals, ready to meet the challenges of the modern world.

Scope of Department

The Science and Humanities (S&H) department serves as a strong foundation for the institution, supporting both academic growth and organizational development. With a team of experienced and dedicated faculty specializing in Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry, the department goes beyond traditional teaching—creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds thrive.

Set within a lush, eco-friendly campus, the department offers modern facilities, including well-equipped labs, advanced computing resources, and spacious classrooms designed to inspire excellence. Beyond academics, students engage in cultural and professional activities, fostering well-rounded development. By nurturing creativity, collaboration, and global awareness, the department helps shape students into confident, skilled individuals ready to make their mark in an interconnected world.
