Overview

The Training and placement Cell is committed to provide all possible assistance to its students in their efforts to find employment. This commitment is demonstrated by the existence of a full time professor in-charge. The Training & Placement service operates year round to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. It provides a launch pad for students to make the best career for them in the fields of Software & IT, Core Industries. The aim is to ensure that students have the information and skills necessary for an effective job search.


Goals & Objectives

  1. To provide job opportunities by bringing the companies for campus recruitment to all the eligible students of final year.
  2. To enhance current technical and practical knowledge of students.
  3. To facilitate 100% placement for all eligible students.

  7. To arrange lectures / seminars / interactive sessions by Technical & HR experts of top organizations.

Placement Support

  • Maintaining regular interaction with the industry through Seminars, Guest Lectures, Conferences, and Corporate Meets etc.
  • Planning and organizing On-Campus as well as Off-Campus recruitment activities.
  • Providing requisite training to students in the area of Personality Development and Communication Skills.
  • Developing database of students and presenting their curriculum to various industries.

Campus Recruitment Training:

Student Registration with Training & Placement Cell:

Preliminary registration call will be given to all eligible students (academic fulfillments 60% aggregate till 2-2) at the staring of third year first semester. Final registration with T&P cell will be done at the starting of the final year 1st semester. (60% aggregate till Third year 2nd semester are eligible)


Training and Learning:

The Fundamental training for KLRCET students starts from 3rd year 1st semester the students are trained on Quantitative Aptitude (Arithmetic) and Communication Skills (Writing and Oral). In 3rd year 2nd semester students Logical and Analytical Reasoning, Technical Skills (C-Programming & Branch Specific Tools). In 4th year the learning or training is blended with many Industry Expert Talks (guest speakers like CEOs, VPs, Project Managers, and Entrepreneurs), Group Discussions, Personal and Technical Interviews and Workshops, Heckathons and Seminars, Career Guidance Sessions etc.

Assessment

The Assessment is one of the main quotients of Students’ learning graph. At KLRCET we conduct Online Tests (Computer Based Tests), Paper Based tests, Mobile Phone based Tests, Personal Interviews, Technical Interviews and Group Discussions as measuring tools for the students’ learning. Outside or 3rd parties like AMCAT, Talent Sprint, Globerena, TCS IoN etc are very much used for students practice and also industry readiness. The assessment methods of KLRCET are highly appreciated by the industry and also number of students, got recruited everywhere, increased. Individual student’s performances are tracked and sent to them by mail or mobile.

There are 3 ways through which we are providing placement opportunities to our students

Final Placements

This process is usually conducted from the month of August onwards
For each of these processes, the following procedure is adopted:

  • Stage 1: Members from companies interact with students on campus through placement team, alumni Guest Lectures, Live Projects, and other Corporate Forums
  • Stage 2: Student profiles and other relevant details are shared with companies with a due registration of interested students.
  • Stage 3: The companies conduct Pre-Placements Talks to give in-depth information about them including the roles and profiles being offered
  • Stage 4: On a mutually fixed date company comes and conducts written or online tests, following by group discussion, personal and technical interview.
  • Stage 5: Final results are announced by the companies
