Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Functions of the IQAC
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

  • Facilitating the creation of a learner – centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.

  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.

  • Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.

  • Institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circle.

  • Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.

  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution.

Objectives of the IQAC
  • To develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities
Chairman
  • Chairman, is the chief mentor of IQAC and will direct and approve all the policy matters related to the overall running of the IQAC.

  • He will ensure that the activities of the IQAC are in line with the college’s quality assurance policies and procedures.

  • He will also be responsible for coordinating activities of the IQAC and for providing leadership in the development and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures

  • Overall supervision of IQAC activities.

  • Approve IQAC minutes of meeting

  • Communicate decisions taken during IQAC meetings to the management.

Coordinator
  • The role of the coordinator of the IQAC is crucial in ensuring the effective functioning of all the members

  • Maintain documents relating to IQAC activities, communication and archival

  • To coordinate the dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher Education.

  • To coordinate the documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality Improvement.

Members
  • Attend the meeting of IQAC regularly

  • Contribute actively in academic audits

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.

  • The relevance and quality of academic and research programmes.

3. Member: Head of each department will act as member along with Industry Representative And Management Representative, Senior Faculty Member and student
